Art or Design
We like to feel that the creation of every customer solution is a blend
of Art and Engineering Design. Developing new software applications is a
remarkably creative activity in which the imaginative envisioning element
of the activity is one of the most rewarding parts.
Taking a requirement and evolving a design that is a blend of your needs, the
technologies available and our development experience is a really exciting part
of the process. Nevertheless, our approach is professional and we also
apply the engineering discipline to our design work that will ensure a solution
that is both practical and effective.
As with all our projects the methods we adopt as selected to be appropriate to
the task at hand. We do not have a one size fits all approach and will
select the most suitable methodology for the task at hand. We are
familiar with a number of different design methodologies (including SSADM & JSP) that can be applied to your project as required.

Designed to Match
Each application we design will be created to suit your particular
preferences and budget. In every project there are three key
variables that effect how much can be included in the design. They
form the classic project triangle:

Fix any one of the variables and at the design stage decisions will be made that
involve changes in the other two variables.

The use of screen Mock-ups
For applications with significant user interface components we may
suggest the creation of a mock-up as a part of the design process. The
Mock-up process involves the creation of a realistic representation of the key
elements of the system as screen layouts with the minimum effort.
The result provides a great framework for reviewing ideas and improving the
design early in the software creation process.
